It was just 2011. There was Christmas then New Year's. January came and go, as well as Chinese New Year. And now, it's already March! March 7 it is. Where have all the days gone? The'yve gone so fast. It's Nikki's 8th birthday tomorrow.

Happy birthday, Nikki. You're 8 years old na tomorrow. You literally are a big sister now. I love you Mahal!
In a week or two, school year is almost done. One last school event, Recognition Day, and it is official, bakasyon na! I've been asking Nikki what she would like to be busy with this summer vacation. She attended a month of ballet classes 3 years ago and never came back. I asked her if she would like to do ballet again. She said no. Among her most feasible choices are guitar and drums lessons, swimming and tae kwon do. She may take swimming lessons but not here in Baguio. She has to stay with her Mama Shirley, Elmer's mom, in Pangasinan where there are a lot who give swimming lessons, if she chooses that. I have not heard of anyone giving swimming lessons here in Baguio except for one who does it in Asin but Asin is, to me, very very very very very (exaj lang) far from the city proper. Oh, and Hotel Supreme pala. But I'm not sure if they do it every year. So far, I think, she favors tae kwon do. I'll see if she changes her mind soon.
I want Nikki to enjoy herself every summer vacation. So I try my best to give her that every year. Because I was not privileged enough when I was a kid to enjoy my summer vacation somewhere else besides our house or my Tita's house or my Inang's (my maternal lola's) house and do nothing but play from one to sawa with my playmates who were also unfortunate as I was. Okay, enough with the reminiscin'.
Last year, we had visitors from overseas. They stayed here for 2 months. So ang drama, pasyal to da max. I let Nikki join them wherever they pasyal. As in every weekend, they were somewhere out of town. This year, aside from her choice of activity, I also want her to join the McDonald's Kiddie Crew Workshop 2012. I've already heard of this before pero deadma lang dati. When I passed by McDonald's in Sunshine some time last week, I saw a McDonald's Kiddie Crew cap. Then I remembered about its yearly summer workshop. So research research ako and found this site.

"The McDonald’s Kiddie Crew Workshop is a 5-day summer program specially designed for kids to enjoy and have fun while learning through different activities. For each workshop day, Kiddie Crew members will get to experience the fun of greeting guests, manning the restaurant and drive-thru counters through on-floor trainings; showcase their skills through creative art workshops; and learn the importance of different values, from hardwork, discipline to teamwork, through values formation lessons and activities. More than the fun activities lined up, the workshop is also a great way for kids to meet and make a lot of new friends.

I am soo excited for Nikki. As for Calli, I don't know yet what she can be busy with this summer. I am still researching for summer activities appropriate for her age. She's only 2 1/2 years old. I think she's too young for ballet and guitar and drums lessons. Like Nikki, if it's gonna be swimming, then it has to be in Pangasinan. Most likely, she'll end up with arts classes or something like that.
