Apps And Games Installed In My Samsung Galaxy Mini 2

I never planned to buy a smartphone even after Elmer has acquired his iPhone. Okay na ako sa pahiram hiram sa iPhone niya. But he got overprotective of it. He would let Nikki, but not Calli, play with it. At first he did naman. Then eventually, ayaw na niya ipahawak kay Calli. As expected, that's C.H.A.O.S. Naturally, Calli would like to play with it. Whenever I let Calli play with his iPhone, he would get mad at me. Very mad. And because I hate loud cries in our small house, ginawan ko 'yan ng paraan. I bought a new Android phone. Hindi ko kayang ipikit ang P20,000+ para sa isang iPhone.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Pocket. Mura kasi. Cheap lang naman ako. It was just the first day but I was already having so much trouble with it. It would shut off even without me doing anything with it. Even if it was just in my bag or on a desk. The technical support in me started troubleshooting it. I eliminated all possible cause - I took out the SD card, I uninstalled the apps and games, I restored its factory settings, I tried another battery pack and I read forums about it.  It was still shutting off on its own. It was really frustrating, but it was a relief to know from the forums that it was not just me who was having that problem. To make this long intro even longer, err, short, I returned it to the store where I bought it from (it can be replaced/returned within 7 days from date of purchase) and instead of getting the same kind as replacement (baka kasi it would have the same problem, ayoko nang ma-frustrate ulit), I chose na lang Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. Mas mahal konti so I had to pay more. Nikki, Calli and I are still enjoying it until now. So far so good. No complaint at all.

I didn't install anything in it until the second day of it in my possession. I wanted to make sure that it would work just fine with the default apps installed in it. And it did, so I started installing apps and games. I now have a few too many installed.

Angry Birds by Rovio Mobile Ltd.

This is the popular PC game now created for Android. I still like it more when played in the computer. The phone screen, to me, is not big enough to see the target piggies.

Ant Smasher Free

Smashin' season is here. Smash all ants you can. When I'm mad, I find this game really helpful. Anlakas maka-kalma lang. ^_^

Basketball Shoot by RunnerGames

If you're a basketball addict, you will find this very entertaining. But I'd say this game is just so-so. The developer's description of the game "Whenever you are waiting the bus, having a rest or sometime you feel boring, this game is can kill the time quickly." True, that is if it you will not get bored of it sooner than the time the bus arrives.

Dressup Princess by KidGames

Calli loves the dress-up games in Kido'z so I decided to install one in my phone. This was the first one I found. But if I find one that's better, I will definitely uninstall this one. This one's sooo boring and not easy to use. There's even no sound/music.

Dropbox by Dropbox Inc.

It's a great app where I can save photos, documents, videos or music and lets me access them whenever, wherever.

Facebook for Android by Facebook

It's Facebook. Need I say more? But I find this app not that great at all. I still prefer my phone's browser to access Facebook.

Fruit Ninja Free by HalkfBrick Studios

Fruit Ninja is a juicy action game with squishy, splatty and satisfying fruit carnage! Become the ultimate bringer of sweet, tasty destruction with every slash. I'd say it's a very entertaining and well-designed game. I love the fruit trivia.

Instagram by Instagram

The developer's description for this app - Instagram – A beautiful way to share your world. It's fast, free and fun!

Very true indeed. But I would like to see more picture-editing features like those of Streamzoo's.

Kids ABC Phonics Lite by IntelliJoy

This app is very helpful for Calli to familiarize the alphabet only if this free version is complete with all the letters of the alphabet. Unfortunately, it only has until H. Calli still likes it.

Kids shapes (Preschool) by IntelliJoy

It's a free and simple game that makes Calli's learning shapes easy and enjoyable.

MiniGame Paradise by Com2Us

This contains several minigames. At first, only few are unlocked that you have to play to collect stars to be used to unlock the other locked minigames. There's nothing really spectacular about this game. Still, it's very entertaining and it can get addicting.

Period Tracker by GP International LLC

This is a very useful app in tracking my monthly period and keeping record of current and future period dates, ovulation and fertile days, my moods and my symptoms in a simple month-view calendar.

PicSay Photo Editor by ShinyCore

A free app to easily spice up my photos using cliparts and few photo-editing features. I'd say it could use some additional updates and more cliparts. When that happens, I will definitely keep this app in my phone even longer.

Streamzoo by Phonezoo Communications Inc.

It's basically like Instagram but this one has more awesome editing options. But if Instagram will have the same exact editing options as Streamzoo, I'd rather keep Instagram. I don't know.

Talking Tom Cat 2 Free by Outfit7

Calli loves Tom so much. He's fun and gives so much laughter. Even I find myself at times enjoying this.

Temple Run by Imangi Studios

This is the very popular Temple Run and it's very addicting. I still have a few more objectives to meet.

Viber: Free Calls & Messages by Viber Media Inc.

Whenever there's "free" on something, it's very attractive. Of course you need a "reliable" internet connection to use this to make free calls and send free messages and the one you're calling or sending messages to  must also have Viber on his phone and that he's also online. That's the thing.

iButterfly Asia - Philippines by CherryPicks

I installed this because I got curious. Well, it turned my phone into a portable net to catch flying butterflies. I still don't get how I'd win prizes and if it only works when connected only to SM's wifi. Please enlighten me.

iStoryBooks by iMarvel

Free story books with fun pictures, text and audio for my kids.

You must have noticed by now that most of the games I have on my phone are my kids'. Only a few of them are mine.

How about you? What apps and games do have on your phones that you fancy so much and are addicted to?

Ciao! ♥
