36th National Milo Marathon: Baguio Leg

Today, Elmer came home late and with these.

He was telling me about this Milo Marathon weeks ago and that he would definitely join this event. I never thought that he was serious. More than that, I never thought that he would like to run with me because he never asked me to join him. That's why I was surprised when he came home with two kits and one of them has my name on it.

One for him and one for me.
He registered us to join the 5K run for the Baguio leg. That's on Sunday, July 1, 2012. It slipped his mind that I have work on Sunday while he doesn't. He changes shift and/or days off every month and is lucky to be off work on the day of this event.

I asked him how much the registration fee was for one participant. He said it was P250. Madami daw nagpapa-register when he went to Laperal Building in Session Road to register. He was excited for the run kasi andami daw magagandang nagpa-register. Balik daw siya bukas para ipa-register si Nikki pero ako na daw magbayad ng registration fee for Nikki. P150 lang naman daw 'pag kids. I told him na 'wag na siya bumalik and asked him if Nikki could just take my slot. I'm not running anyway because I have work. He was not sure.

He really planned join the 21K run. Unfortunately, all the slots for the 21K run and even the 10K run daw were already taken. No more available slots. So, he ended up registering for the 5K run. When I asked him kung ano ang route ng marathon, hindi daw niya alam. So the resourceful me googled it and found this website about this Milo Marathon: Baguio Leg.

I found more information than what I needed to know...like the registration fees! Aha!

"Hoy Mahal, P250 pala ha?! P100 pesos lang naman pala e. Tsaka P50 lang naman pala 'pag bata."

Ayun, tawa nang tawa ang loko.

I have never joined a fun run or any  marathon in my life. Ever. This could be my first. But I have W.O.R.K. So, I have accepted the fact that it's still not happening to me this time. Maybe next time.

Argh! Why do I have to work?! Jooowk! Baka isipin ni Lord na nagrereklamo ako. ^_^

(I love my job. I love my job. I love my jooob!)

Ciao! ♥
