From Terrible To Terrific

Let me just put this out of the way before I continue. I'm not apologizing for my last post. That was the b*tch, err, loser, in me talking.

Okay, moving on. Yes, I've moved on, so let's!

I'm pretty sure most of you have heard of the infamous child's development stage called Terrible Twos. As the name suggests, it starts when a toddler is about two years old. And I googled around what age it ends. I didn't find an answer. Although my googling on this wasn't as thorough as when I was guessing a blind item in Fashion Pulis, I think there's no definite age when Terrible Twos would actually end. I definitely like to believe that it ends as the toddler turns exactly three. If that's true then my house could get a little more peaceful starting today as Calli turns three.

Thus, the title of this post (that's with my fingers and toes crossed).

Dear Calli,

Happy birthday mo na! Tulad nang palagi kong sinasabi sa 'yo, dapat hindi ka na nagbabangad kasi three years old ka na. Huwag mo nang inaaway ang Ate Nikki mo ha. Ang liit-liit mo pero mas bully ka pa kesa sa kanya. Mabuti na lang mabait siya (minsan) sa 'yo.

Okay lang kahit malakas ka pa din dumede kasi hindi ka kumakain ng madami minsan, kahit umiihi ka pa din sa bed kasi alam ko namang malamig talaga minsan, kahit ginagawa mong hangout ang store kasi bili ka nang bili ng bubbagum, kahit makulit ka, kahit malakas ka sumigaw. Lab na lab kita at ni Daddy at ni Ate Nikki. 

Ngayong three years old ka na, "mas" maging mabait ka na ha.

I lab you, Calli.

When I woke up this morning at 1:30AM, I was looking at Calli who was still in deep sleep and I told myself, "Ang laki na niya. Parang kelan lang. Ambilis talaga ng oras!"

Elmer and I never had any plan of having a party for Calli today. Neither of us took a leave from work. Original plan was to dine out with (extended) family on Sunday. We're sticking to the plan. But I've come up with a last minute plan of having a dinner with friends and kids in the house today. Kasi I thought, parang ang lungkot naman kasi ngayon ang totoong birthday niya then we were not having anything for her. So dinner it was, that I'll make another post for later, and how this had been one very tiring day and how stupid I got today.
