I Should Have Listened

Just a few weeks ago, our account (or is it our company? Whatever!) started to implement dress codes. I mean, dress codes are here since I don't remember when but these new dress codes require us to wear business casual attire every Monday and Tuesday shift (so that's Tuesday and Wednesday for me). Since I'm off work every Monday and Tuesday, I only need to wear business casual attire every Tuesday shift.

The weather on Monday was still okay. Sunshine in the morning. Grey skies after noon. Not unsual here in Baguio. I was already planning to go out on Monday to buy some clothes to wear for today but I got lazy (I wrote something, explaining this, that I should have posted on that day but I didn't have the chance to post but I'll do it later).

On Tuesday morning, wind was already blowing so hard and rain was heavy. Apparently, Typhoon Pedring (International Name: Nesat) was already here on Monday evening or maybe early Tuesday morning. Since it was already the start of my husband's only day off, I asked him to sleep the whole morning, so he could accompany me to go out in the afternoon and buy clothes.
He slept and woke up a little after noon. With the wind swirling and heavay rain pouring, he suggested for me to wear business casual clothes next week instead. By the way, from this point on, I will not use "my husband" to refer to him. That's kinda longer than using just his name. His name is Elmer.

Elmer: Bumabagyo.

Me: Hindi pwede Mahal. Kasi winarningan na kami last week.

Me: Basta! Magbihis ka na at labas na tayo.

So we went out, paced through the heavy rain and swirling wind. Did I again say heavy and swirling? ^_^ We went to the mall, SM City Baguio that was. It is the only decent mall here in Baguio.

Why have I not yet learned? I shouldn't be bringing Elmer as my shopping buddy especially when it comes to my clothes. Very impatient. Andaming side comments. Not very supportive sa mga gusto ko (kasi he thinks mas magaling siya pumili pagdating sa mga damit, niya or even ko). To make the short story longer, after an hour or so of pamimili at maraming diskusyon, natapos din ang clothes shopping.

Then we were home. The kids already had their dinner and were waiting for us with their yaya. I was so excited to try all the clothes that we bought. Kainis!

When I woke up this morning at 2:00, I decided to wear my cropped pants, a jacket with a shirt under it and my flats. I brought my business casual clothes with me in my bag.

Me: Cheee!

Otherwise, I would come to work dripping wet. Tattered ang pants ko. Not allowed in the office. Surprisingly, the guards didn't mind.

Inside the office. No one was wearing business casual clothes. I already got a hint when the guard didn't stop me when he saw me in my tattered pants. So hindi na ako nagpalit to my business casual clothes.

Okay fine, Mahal! ^_^ I should have listened to you. Next time, ha? Hahaha! ^_^

Ciao! ♥
